Event Description

API HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is held during API Heritage Month to raise awareness among Asians and Pacific Islanders in the U.S. about the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS. In keeping with this year’s theme, “Together We Can: Open Your Hearts to Making a Difference,” Chicago-land’s API HIV/AIDS Awareness Day will focus on reducing stigma in our communities through active outreach and education about the topic of HIV and AIDS. We hope to foster a holistic community response to HIV/AIDS by increasing community knowledge, preventing new infections, and promoting access to treatment.
